Tempered & Laminated Safety Glass
We supply and install tempered and laminated safety glass wherever codes require it or owners want the extra protection.
Which to use
Tempered glass is strong and breaks into small pieces; it is standard for doors and sidelites. Laminated glass stays in the frame when broken, making it the choice for overhead glazing, railings, security and impact resistance.
Code locations
- Doors and adjacent sidelites
- Large lites near the floor
- Railings and guards
- Glass near stairs and ramps
- Skylights and overhead glazing
Upgrading older buildings
Many older storefronts have annealed glass where safety glass is now required. Upgrading those lites reduces injury risk.
