Foggy Insulated Glass (IGU) Replacement
Fogged insulated glass has a failed seal. We replace failed units in storefronts, windows and curtain wall, matched to the existing glass or upgraded to better performance, and fix whatever made them fail.
Match or upgrade
Replacing a failed unit is an opportunity to improve performance. Newer low-E coatings and argon fill can outperform the original unit, and laminated inner or outer lites add security or sound control. Where appearance must match the neighboring units, we match the coating and tint instead.
Fixing the cause
Units fail early when they sit in water, when setting blocks are missing, or when they were built for a different altitude. We clear weep paths, install proper setting blocks and order units built for the site.
Bulk replacement
When many units in a building have failed, we survey, measure and replace them in a planned program rather than one at a time.
