Frameless Glass Doors (Herculite)

Frameless tempered glass doors, often called Herculite doors, make an entrance look open and modern. We install new frameless doors with the fittings, closers and locks that make them work reliably.

Designing a frameless entrance

A frameless entrance can be a single door, a pair, or doors with glass sidelites and transoms. Glass thickness, fitting style and closer type are chosen for the door size and traffic. Rails give a more substantial look and more locking options; patch fittings give the most minimal look.

Floor closers versus pivots

Floor closers set in the slab give smooth, controlled closing and hold-open options, but require a pocket in the floor. Top-and-bottom pivots with an overhead closer avoid floor work. We recommend based on the floor condition and the look.

Replacing an existing frameless door

When a frameless door breaks, a new tempered panel is fabricated to exact size with the holes and notches for the fittings. We reuse sound fittings and replace worn ones.
