Commercial Glass Installation & Repair in Tampa, FL
Impact and wind-rated storefronts, entrances and windows for Tampa Bay businesses, installed to Florida approvals and built to keep water out, plus repair after storms and break-ins.
What happens when you call
Talk to a glazier
Tell us what broke or what you need built. We ask about glass type, opening size, frame condition and whether the space is secure.
Make it safe, then make it right
Broken openings are boarded or temporarily glazed first. Then the opening is measured and the permanent glass is ordered to fit.
Written scope, clean records
You get a line-item estimate and photos of the damage and the finished work for your landlord or insurance carrier.
Building on the bay
Tampa Bay’s commercial growth runs from Water Street and the Channel District to Westshore, St. Petersburg’s downtown and the corridors through Brandon and Wesley Chapel. Every new storefront and entrance in the region has to be designed for hurricane winds, and in many locations for wind-borne debris, with Florida-approved products installed to their approval details.
Choosing between impact glass and shutters
In wind-borne debris regions, an owner can protect openings with impact-rated glazing or with approved shutters or panels. Impact systems cost more up front but protect the building year-round, need no one to put up shutters before a storm, and keep the storefront visible. For most retail, restaurant and office storefronts we recommend impact systems, and we price both so the owner can compare.
Detailing for wind-driven rain
A storefront that passes its wind and impact tests can still leak if the opening is not detailed well. We set sills with end dams and sloped drainage, flash the rough opening into the wall system, and seal the perimeter with the right joint size and sealant for stucco, block or concrete. Water testing on the first installed bays catches problems before the rest go in.
Coastal materials
Near the bay and the Gulf beaches, salt air shortens the life of finishes, fasteners and hardware. We specify finishes and stainless fasteners suited to coastal exposure and door hardware that resists corrosion.
